Ridgewood Library Comic Con

East Side Mags is PROUD to team up with our friends at the Ridgewood NJ Public Library for a unique event!  Join us on March 4th from 1pm-4pm and meet a bunch of amazing all-ages comic book artists and writers, get copies of their work, get them signed! and hang out with cosplayers, other artists and comic book fans!

Gamers Paradise will also have a Nintendo Switch available for everyone to check out!

There's also face painting, a photo booth and arts & crafts for the entire family!

Don't forget to come in your costume or cosplay!  There will be a Cosplay Contest too!

Mark Mariano

Mark Mariano is a Harvey Award Nominated cartoonist from New Jersey. He's an Adventure Time cover artist, a contributor to Aw Yeah Comics!, The Sakai Project from Dark Horse, and Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream. His self-published work includes the family favorite The Other Side of Hugless Hill, the Moonbeam Award-Winning Flabbergast: Science Friction and the amazon.com best-selling Happyloo: Flying Colors. As proud organizer of the traveling Kids Love Comics pavilion for several comic conventions, Mark assembles the roster of super-talented artists, and creates the programming. Being an advocate of comics in the classroom, he enjoys visiting schools and sharing his love of art and storytelling. Mark has been drawing since he was three, and loves reading comics and picture books, making music with The O>Matics, eating ice cream, and watching cartoons. 

Jacob Chabot

Jacob Chabot is an Eisner Award-nominated and New York Times Bestselling cartoonist. He is best known for his work on all-ages comics like Spongebob Comics, The Simpsons, and his creator owned book The Mighty Skullboy Army

Jamar Nicholas

JAMAR NICHOLAS is an award-winning, Philadelphia-based artist and educator. He has taught and lectured on the topic of comics creation at numerous institutions, dedicating his career to empowering young people to create their own cartoons and comics, helping them realize the power of visual narrative.

Some of his works include adapting and illustrating Geoffrey Canada's Fist Stick Knife Gun; full-color comic strip, Detective Boogaloo: Hip-Hop Cop, that was serialized in the US Metro newspapers (Philadelphia, NYC and Boston), and his upcoming original graphic novel Leon: Protector of the Playground.

Gregg Schiegel

Gregg Schigiel (rhymes with beagle) has worked as a penciller and assistant editor at Marvel Comics, character artist for Nickelodeon Consumer Products, and has illustrated of a litany of licensed story/chapter/coloring books. He is a regular contributor to SPONGEBOB COMICS. In 2014, he self-published PIX ONE WEIRDEST WEEKEND, the first of a series now published by Image Comics.

In addition to making comics, Gregg produces and hosts the comics-centric podcast "Stuff Said" and produces and co-hosts the Tom Cruise movie-centric podcast "Cruisin’ Together”. He likes doughnuts, enjoys comedy, and makes sure he drinks plenty of water.
