Whew! Been a while, huh?
We’re really glad to be back and now that we’ve moved and gotten ourselves settled in, it’s time to PARTY!
We’ve got a bunch of stuff planned so buckle in - it’s the same East Side Mags but even cooler than it was before!
Official Ribbon Cutting at 12pm noon featuring our special VIP guests - the AMAZING folks who helped us move our shop in ONE DAY, helped us set up, clean and organize so we could re-open as soon as possible. Without them (and you), there would be no us!
Renowned author, Montclair-native, brother and friend - QUASHON DAVIS - will be here! Quashon is a best-selling author who was awarded Book of the Year in 2006 by the prestigious Imani Book Club and was named the Author to Look Out For in 2017. He’s best known for his trilogy: Masquerade, The Dirty Circle and Suspect Behavior but comes to us with his newest book: Our Missing Colored Girls
Quashon Davis will be here from 12pm-5pm signing copies of his works.
Also joining us is Montclair’s very own NOTORIOUS BBQ! Their special blend of Texas BBQ and Montclair savvy make this BBQ something to write home about! Good friends of ours, they are honoring us with the unveiling of their SIGNATURE SANDWICH: 1/4 lb of brisket topped with their homemade slaw, splashed with their signature sauce on a potato bun! (Sorry, my mouth was watering while writing this!)
NOTORIOUS BBQ will be serving up piping hot sandwiches starting right after the ribbon cutting until 3pm or until their sandwiches sell out (which will probably be pretty fast).
Last - we have a VERY SPECIAL GUEST coming all the way from BRAZIL to hang out with us - the incomparable Adriana Melo will be here sketching for customers from 1pm-4pm! Don’t miss this RARE opportunity to hang out and great a rad sketch cover from an international superstar!
